Our very own Torquay Cowrie Market has been supporting and nurturing local musicians since its beginning. Live music plays throughout the day - find something yummy to nibble on and pause to enjoy some very fine tunes.

3RD THURSDAY MONTHLY
Supporting local Singer/Songwriters, whether experienced or just starting out and learning to be comfortable playing to an audience. An inspirational grass roots event independently coordinated by committee member Kristy Coote and hosted by the good folk at Bells Beach Brewing.

CONCERTS HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
The Sound Doctor, initiated by Dr David Corbet, is a group of Surf Coast music lovers passionate about bringing established artists to perform in an intimate venue in Anglesea. The Sound Doctor Presents Inc. is a not-for-profit association that manages the events with the underlying purpose of promoting and encouraging engagement with the community, and connection with people, through music and the arts. They produce high quality musical performances , contribute to a healthy community through music and the arts, and support young and local artists in connecting with more established musicians through performances and workshops.

ANNUAL FESTIVAL HELD IN MARCH
This much loved festival transitioned from a free ‘’Open Mic’’ event to a ticketed event in 2022, curated by a committee, so it is no longer accepting expressions of interest. The festival provides a fantastic opportunity for up and coming musicians, as well as established acts, to perform to large crowds with professional sound equipment and stage crew.  Since the festival was created it has inspired the formation of over 40 local bands. Each year they have a Special Mystery Guest to close the festival. Previous SMG's include Josh Tesky, Colin Hay, Dan Sultan, Tim Rogers, Mark Seymour, The Hoodoo Gurus, Rockwiz Orkestra with Ella Hooper and Vika and Linda Bull, Tash Sultana, the Pierce Brothers, Joe Camilleri and Ross Wilson.

ANGLESEA COMMUNITY ROCK CHOIR

The Anglesea Community Rock Choir is a community based group, made up of Surf Coast locals who love singing and performing. Under the direction of our new choir leader Lucy O’Grady along with a live band, we sing our hearts out each Monday evening 6.30-8.00pm in the rear room of the Anglesea Memorial Hall.
SURFSIDE SINGERS

Surfside Singers are an adult vocal group led by Erika from Find Your Voice, who meet weekly to enjoy singing together. The choir loves to perform throughout the year and the inaugral Cabaret Show of choir members was organised in October 2022 - and was a wonderful success!

An all abilities choir that is all about having fun in an all inclusive environment while celebrating the joy of singing. There are solo parts, harmonies, simple movements, instruments or just singing in unison. The beauty of this choir is you can participate as little or as much as you desire.

Wild Moves is a collective of community and professional artists willing to embrace, celebrate and contribute to cultural diversity as well as environmental awareness across the arts. We are dedicated to promoting and encouraging inter-cultural teaching and learning with a focus on communication, a sense of place and the nurturing of creative development through the Performing Arts. Wild Moves inspiration comes from Indigenous cultures and their connection to Mother Earth.

Jacqui Dreesens is an Ethnochoreologist (study of culture through dance) who encourages people to embody a sense of place with the interplay of movement, sound, film, poetry, dance, drumming and choreography.
