The Surf Coast ARTS inc committee acknowledges the Wadawurrung and Eastern Maar people, the traditional custodians of the lands of which me meet, live, create and celebrate. We pay respect to their elders and leaders past, present and emerging, who continue to care for this incredible region.

Wadawurrung’s RAP area covers over 10,000 square kilometres on the western side Melbourne and including the major regional cities of Geelong and Ballarat. Wadawurrung Country also incorporates the start of the Great Ocean Road.

Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation

The Eastern Maar are Traditional Owners of south-western Victoria. Our land  extends as far north as Ararat and encompasses the Warrnambool, Port Fairy and Great Ocean Road areas. It also stretches 100m out to sea from low tide and therefore includes the iconic Twelve Apostles.

If you want to get serious about your practice or small creative business, learn more about your area of interest, gain a broader perspective of how various industry bodies advocate on your behalf to government, or support you through their own resources, then this list will get you started. Many of these organisations are membership based, so working out a budget to accommodate annual fees is important in managing your finances.

​Justice Connect's Not-for-profit Law program provides free and affordable specialist legal help for not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises. We give community organisations the legal supports they need so that they can spend more time and energy realising their purpose. We prevent legal problems through plain language resources and education, and provide access to free lawyers when eligible organisations need specialist legal advice.
