Jacqui Dreesens is an Ethnochoreologist (study of culture through dance) who encourages people to embody a sense of place with the interplay of movement, sound, film, poetry, dance, drumming and choreography. Jacqui also runs DRUMENTIA for seniors. |
Lights Out, Let's Dance! Casual, free-form, dancing in the dark for the pure joy! No Lights No Lycra:

In 2020 Torquay Dance Academy relocated into a new purpose-built dance facility with 4 large studios, Tarkett flooring, mirrors & barres. Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms® is a philosophy, perspective, performance art and movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Evelyn has facilitated groups within the community for over 20 years.

The great tradition and community of ballroom dance in Torquay continues, with varying levels of social classes, wedding dance lessons, private lessons and a monthly social dance. |
