Surf Coast ARTS inc has held many events since it was established in 1995, as well as helping to coordinate activities and provide volunteers. Some of these events include the Surf Coast Arts Inc POSTCARDS exhibition, 60s Music Revival Gig, Chillin Under the Yellow Gums, Wear Artrageous Fashion Parade, Artspot annual exhibition, Surf Coast Film Society, Connecting to Country Festival and of course our iconic Torquay Cowrie Market is still going strong. We'll add the history of our past activities over time.

Our ability to hold our own events relies on what available resources (funds and people power) we have - so we are always looking for wonderful volunteers to join our committee or working groups.

Not everyone thinks to use the following services provided by the Surf Coast Shire.
They are a great way to find out what's on, and if you are holding an event/activity, give yourself plenty of time to submit your details.

​Art Matters is changing to a bi-monthly arts and culture e-newsletter dedicated to the promotion of the Shire's arts activities and relevant opportunities.

Follow their social media accounts to keep up to date with what's happening more broadly.

WANT TO ORGANISE YOUR OWN EVENT?
Their website has handy resources such as: Event planning /  Event promotion / Event Grants and Sponsorship Program
Events/activities can be viewed on the Shire's dedicated community page and on the front page of the their website www.surfcoast.vic.gov.au under the 'Events' tab'.

You can add your exhibition, workshop, class, performance or gathering.

WHO TO FOLLOW...

Email newsletters

Signing up to an e-news (email newsletter) is one of the best ways to keep up to date. Not everyone has this option on their websites, but it's increasingly becoming the most reliable way.
While social media is still very useful, you are guaranteed to see an email if you use it regularly. And of course, check your spam box and click the option that reads 'Not Junk' (or equivalent), so future emails will go to your inbox!

Instagram

Use Instagram as a 'Whats On' guide.
Follow the venues, events, artists and activities you are interested in, and to help them keep appearing in your feed, 'like' their posts (it's just a click!), or even better, leave a comment.
